Groups for Adults

We offer a few online and in person opportunities throughout the year, such as an OCD support group and an ADHD group for adult clients.  Adults groups are often scheduled in the evenings to accommodate busy work schedules. 

Run by Jason Yu:

  • Online Adult ADHD Group
    Description: Island Clinical Counselling is offering a monthly drop-in group for adults who have ADHD and those who have ADHD traits. No diagnosis is required. This support group provides the opportunity to connect with others, learn from each other and learn new perspectives under the guidance of a Registered Clinical Counsellor.  Monthly, Wednesdays at 8pm.
  • BFRB Support Group: Ages 17 and up, this group provides individuals with BFRBs a safe place to share their struggles and victories, share ideas, and learn ways to cope. Tuesdays at 6pm on Zoom, Monthly.

  • Online Adult ASD Group
    Description: Island Clinical Counselling is offering monthly drop-in groups for adults who have ASD, those who are pursuing a diagnosis or those who do not have a diagnosis but identify as having ASD. Support groups offer opportunities to come together in a safe and supportive environment under the guidance of a Registered Clinical Counsellor.  Monthly, Wednesdays at 8pm.

  • Online OCD Support Group
    Description: For adults who have OCD tendencies and are looking for ideas on how to manage their symptoms. This is also a safe space to discuss things like medication, relationships, workplace challenges, and the nature of their OCD symptoms.  Monthly, Tuesdays 8pm.

  • Adult Anxiety Support Group
    Description: Share experiences and cultivate connections as we exchange a variety of powerful techniques to aid in the everyday management of anxiety including evidenced based CBT and mindfulness strategies as requested. This online community of support offers members the opportunity to share what strategies work well for them and gain insight into new ways of working with their anxiety all while connecting in a safe and supportive environment with individuals who can relate to similar experiences, successes, and challenges.  Monthly, Mondays at 8pm.

Fees: groups are billed at $40.00 plus GST per session, we have a few spots available for sliding scale clients
