About Us
Janay Foulkes
“With more than a decade of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families across therapeutic, educational, and community settings, I bring both clinical expertise and a deep appreciation for the complexity of people’s lives.”
I first wish to express my appreciation to you for the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey of healing and self-discovery. I am grateful for the gift of trust that you share in the reciprocal learning process. With a strengths-based approach and trauma-informed lens, my focus is to develop strong therapeutic alliances with those in my care. With your courage and efforts in entering into the therapeutic alliance, we can achieve the goals you set forward in therapy and find your optimal place of functioning.
As a clinical counsellor, I am grateful to reflect on my social work lens from the last 5 years of working in the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. I have over 12 years of experience working with children, youth, and young adults through therapeutic treatment programs and within various diverse communities and collaborative settings. A key consideration through my experiences is the value of integration of the family system and the importance of community connection. In my work with young people I value the critical importance of identity and belonging; key factors in the development of children, youth, and young adults.
I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you in your healing journey. Through the exchange of learning, healing, and self-discovery, my hope is that you will experience a respectful and authentic presence with a person-centred, strengths-based approach. Using a holistic and balanced approach, I believe you are in the driver’s seat and the expert of your story. Each time we meet, my aim is to ensure you leave with something new and beneficial. The use of a trauma-informed lens, EMDR tools, and culturally responsive practices are fundamental values throughout my practice. Openness, respect, and collaboration are values I will bring to our work together.

Gillian Saxby
Healthy relationships—with ourselves and with others—are at the heart of our well-being.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor specializing in relationships, personal healing, and overall well-being. I offer a calm, empathetic, and confidential space where clients can explore what is happening in their lives and relationships at a deeper level.
I work with people experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, and ongoing relationship challenges, as well as those navigating life transitions or seeking meaningful personal growth. My approach is integrated and person-centered, supporting both emotional insight and practical change.
In my work, clients are guided to better understand patterns, improve communication, and develop effective tools to manage stress and regulate emotions. I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods and tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. In addition to my counselling work, I bring more than 10 years of experience as a Family Mediator in British Columbia and over 20 years of experience as a Certified Civil Mediator. This background supports clients in strengthening their relationship with self and others and managing change or conflict with clarity, respect, and balance.
I help people reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and move through life transitions with greater confidence and ease.
